Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) The Mandalorian co-creator turned Star Wars creative chief Dave Filoni outlined the series, giving these episodes a familiar feel, but the small scale allows for more moral doubt and self-recrimination than we normally get in a galaxy far, far away. May 30, 2024 Full Review Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Ben Travis Empire Magazine Small but perfectly formed, Tales Of The Empire is a dark, delicious treat for deep Star Wars fans. ‘Tales Of The Rebellion’ next, please! Rated: 4/5 May 3, 2024 Full Review Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Ashley Moulton Common Sense Media Tweens deep into Star Wars lore will enjoy getting to know more backstory here. For more casual fans, Tales of the Empire's focus on exposition and fight scenes might not keep them interested. May 21, 2024 Full Review Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network Hardcore fans will be pleased, casual viewers will be underwhelmed, and everyone else will be left wanting a little more closure. Rated: 6/10 May 17, 2024 Full Review Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Julian Lytle RIOTUS Tales of the Empire is a solid entry to the current Star Wars offerings, but it is also something that should’ve probably focused on another bigger and well-known Empire character to really make this feel like a not-miss event. Rated: C+ May 14, 2024 Full Review Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Limited Series | Rotten Tomatoes (6) David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk Frankly they can keep churning out these mini-series of “stories we want to tell but didn’t know where to put them” as often as they like, they’ve so far been constantly high quality little slices of Star Wars. L J Tales of The Empire loses the essential tight storytelling and character development that Filoni was somehow able to pull off with Tales of the Jedi. Instead the show chooses to focus on basic plot beats and shoves a homework needed priority which is a part of Filoni that drives me crazy. As a result, the series feels messy and unfocused as we get a waisted 1st episode that’s only focus is to gain our sympathy for a group of characters that were literally villains in The Clone Wars. As well as that, there time jumps that are rather jarring. And more than ever, the stories needed more length to properly flesh out some rather interesting ideas.Overall to me a Star Wars show, while having some continuity, needs to stand on its own, and I’ve recently felt like Dave Filoni is trying too hard to interconnect everything to The Clone Wars and Rebels when there’s far more to this Galaxy Far Far Away that needs to be explored. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Charles B This show looked spectacular! Watching another take of General Grievous destroying the Dathomerians was insane. I wasn't the overall fan of the Morgan Esbeth story. It was okay. Not really needs. Seeing Thrawn though was cool. This whole story like was Dave Filoni shoe horning into the Ahsoka series. Bad form. The Barris Offee story was more interesting. I aways wanted to see what happened to her after the end of season five of The Clone Wars. I will admit, I was hoping Ahsoka Tano would make an appearance when Barris was being a healer. Ahsoka saying she forgave her and Barris apologizing. That would have been a better ending to that part instead of the one we got. Tales of the Jedi was way better than this. This one did look better though. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/24 Full Review Audience Member The Morgan story was weak and didn't add anything for her as a character going forward. The Barriss story was not that well written and feels rushed. Forcing her into a life of an Inquisitor, and quickly moving back to the light after one mission. Really? Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/08/24 Full Review Alysha S The backstory for Morgan Elsbeth is OK. Barriss Offee's story is incredible. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/08/24 Full Review jon j so boring and horrible writing. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/24 Full Review Audience Member HERE WE ARE AGAIN, AFTER ANOTHER FAILURE FROM DISNEY. I WAITED FOR 12 YEARS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO BARRIS, AND YOU JUST KILLED HER OFF! NOT TO MENTION, YOU CLICK-BAITED US WITH VADER. SHAME ON YOU.
